Spiral Steel Boning 6mm x 5m

Spiral Steel Boning 6mm x 5m, used for corset making. Use in curved seams. 6mm wide, flexible and strong. Requires pliers for cutting. Can be capped with metal caps but we prefer to use plastic boning caps. Available on our website. You must use Spiral Steel Boning inside a casing, eg: twill tape or similar. Great product.

Note from the Parlour: If you want to cap the bones, you can use 8mm plastic bone caps with a dab of hot glue, or 6mm if you trim the bones very close. Both work well, depending on what size channel you are using. We also have smooth glide silicon bone caps in 8mm that work (6mm out of stock until we find a new supplier). These are a hard silicon wth a smooth finish that glides easily through the channels. Word of warning for any cap that is used, if you are removing the bone from the channel there is a high chance of leaving the cap inside the channel making it very difficult to get out. Only cap the bone of it is to remain permanent in the casing.
