Plastic Boning
Plastic boning (sometimes called glue boning) used for bra making, corsetry and dressmaking. You can even use it for making light weight hooped petticoats. This boning is un-covered. Plastic boning is approx 1.5mm thick and comes in 3 widths. Make your own cover to match the fabric of your project. Trim ends with scissors or nail clippers for a round tip.

Parlour Tip: Use our silicon caps to soften the edges after trimming the ends to round.
For 5 & 6mm bone use 6mm silicon cap, & 12mm bone use 12mm silicon cap. You can use either type of our silicon caps, standard or the smooth glide.

Use as a lighter weight option than steel bones. Great for straighter seams such as centre fronts and back stays. If you need to use on a curve you are better to use spiral or the sew in bones.
