Horsehair Braid 2.5cm Wide
Horsehair braid 2.5cm wide (1 inch) with stretch weave. Suitable for light & heavy weight fabrics. For a decorative look or use to stabilise hems. Use for hemming on medium to heavy weight fabrics where you want to create an invisible hem on shaped hemlines like a full length bridal gown with train, or even for a fluted hemline where you want bounce in your garment (sandwich between the main and lining layers). Secure the ends with a stitch in invisible thread if it will be seen.
Not recommended for use with chiffon fabrics and light weight satins ( it may create too much bounce) or straight hemlines. It will create a curl in the fabric depending on the amount of stretch when sewn.
Horsehair braid can also be used in millinery and other craft projects.
