It features a robust hand press machine, cutter and setting dies designed for 4mm eyelets & 1000 silver eyelets with washers. The included 2mm cutter creates a small, controlled hole that you can carefully expand using an awl, minimizing fabric fraying or tearing around the eyelet. How to use

Step 1: Mark the centres of your eyelet placement. Place the die with the 2mm hole in the bottom of the machine, screw in the die with the sharp point in the underside of the head, place your fabric under the machine and line up the cutter with your mark, press down on the lever firmly to cut the hole.

Step 2: Stretch your hole with an awl until the hole is big enough to take the eyelet.

Step 3: Push your eyelet into the hole until the shaft is right through the hole, and place the washer on the other side with the grove face down.

Step 4: Change your cutting dies to the setting dies, eyelet mould place on the bottom of the machine, it has a locator pin that centres the eyelet, & screw in the top setter die.

Step 5: Place you garment under the machine, eyelet underneath, washer on top, press firmly to set your eyelet.

A note from The parlour: This exact eyelet setter is used in our workroom most days. It is so easy to use and gives a perfect finish and gets the job done in no time. We screwed our eyelet setter to a block of wood and then varnished it so the wood was smooth and couldn't snag on our garments. This gives you the versatility of being able to move it around and out of the way when not in use. We have other coloured eyelets available on our website. Perfect for home or commercial use if you are selling your garments. Always do some tests so you know how much pressure to apply when cutting and setting eyelets.

Installation Notes: Even though the press is heavy weighing in at 3.1kgs, you need to screw it down to a desk or a wood block (a bread board!) - screws not supplied. (we used a 6x2 inch block of wood about 30cm long and screwed the setter close to the end so when pressed, the machine didn't lift up.
