Expanding Button Marking Ruler

Expanding Button Marking Ruler, nifty for marking the distance between buttons, button holes, eyelets, roulette loops, pleating & pin tucking. Set the expanding marking tool to the desired distance, make sure to double check all the marking points are the same against a ruler before marking. Once set, use an air erasable marker or chalk to mark your points using the cutout grooves. It also has distance from edge if you want to mark buttonhole start/stop points. Great for marking eyelet / grommet placement, or really anything that requires equal spacing.

 

Note from Melanie Jayne: I find it really handy for marking the placement of pearl buttons exactly 1.5cm apart down the back of a wedding dress. I use an air erasable marker, so the marked points disappear on their own in a matter of hours to a couple of days, depending on the fabric type.
